Yeremia 6:16

6:16 The Lord said to his people: ¹ 

“You are standing at the crossroads. So consider your path. ² 

Ask where the old, reliable paths ³  are.

Ask where the path is that leads to blessing ⁴  and follow it.

If you do, you will find rest for your souls.”

But they said, “We will not follow it!”

Yeremia 6:19

6:19 Hear this, you peoples of the earth: ⁵ 

‘Take note! ⁶  I am about to bring disaster on these people.

It will come as punishment for their scheming. ⁷ 

For they have paid no attention to what I have said, ⁸ 

and they have rejected my law.

Yeremia 35:17

35:17 So I, the Lord, the God who rules over all, the God of Israel, say: ⁹  “I will soon bring on Judah and all the citizens of Jerusalem all the disaster that I threatened to bring on them. I will do this because I spoke to them but they did not listen. I called out to them but they did not answer.”’”
